Diary, 1825-1838 (inclusive).

Diary, April 21, 1825-February 22, 1827 and January 1, 1832-February 1, 1838, of a non-Quaker of Quaker background who had many Quaker associations in the New Jersey counties of Salem and Burlington. Entries, generally brief, describe social, family, business, and local affairs, as well as visits to nearby places, including Philadelphia. Other, more extensive entires pertain to a Salem County fugitive slave case (1834-1835) and to a grain buying trip in Salem County.
